Job summary

Maramba Primary School in Narre Warren (Department of Education Victoria) is seeking a Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Officer to support our outdoor spaces and buildings. You will perform routine grounds maintenance, minor repairs, and general handyman tasks with a focus on safety and quality.

The role is part-time (3 days a week) and involves working with our school community to maintain tidy, safe, and welcoming grounds that support student learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds and maintenance within school or similar environments.
• Ability to perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs.
• Knowledge of proper use and handling of garden tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance across school grounds and buildings, including minor repairs to fences, gates, paths and outdoor equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of external areas and storage spaces.
• Prune, weed, mulch and undertake seasonal garden maintenance to keep grounds attractive.
