Qualifications

• Formal culinary training or hospitality qualification.
• Proven grill chef experience in a professional kitchen.
• Advanced grilling techniques, marinades, seasoning and temperature control.
• Strong food safety, hygiene and sanitation knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes to the highest standard.
• Maintain recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
• Manage the grill station efficiently during service and coordinate with kitchen staff.
• Monitor food quality and taste, making adjustments to maintain consistency.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards, including storage and handling.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on grill techniques and safety.
• Assist with inventory of grill station supplies and report stock levels.
• Collaborate with head chef to develop new grilled menu items and seasonal specials.
• Respond promptly to service demands and stay composed during busy periods.
