AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator, ensuring safe, reliable and affordable energy today while enabling the energy transition. The Congestion & Grid Engineering team develops power system modelling, analysis and tools to support the EMS in the NEM and WEM.

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
Experience in energy sector or similar complex infrastructure.
Experience with electrical power system modelling and analysis tools (SCADA/EMS).
Ability to apply power system knowledge to solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

Update AEMO's EMS regularly to reflect power system changes and improvements.
Support commissioning/registration of generating plant, including SCADA list approval and point-to-point testing.
