Job summary

AEMO is seeking an Engineering Analyst in the Congestion and Grid Engineering team to support power system modelling, EMS and SCADA test activities for the NEM and WEM. You will back the senior team members, including the Engineering Tech Lead and Manager, in a range of tasks from modelling generators to network analysis.

You will contribute to regular EMS updates, SCADA testing, and point-to-point testing, helping ensure the grids and markets operate safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering with a power system focus.
• Experience with electrical power system modelling and analysis tools (SCADA/EMS).
• Ability to apply power systems knowledge to solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Regular updates to AEMO’s EMS to match changes in generation, load, and network.
• Assist in commissioning/registration of generating plant and SCADA testing.
