Job summary

Harmony Early Education on the Gold Coast is seeking a Greenspace Officer to maintain and enhance outdoor environments across multiple centres. You will help create safe, engaging and beautiful outdoor spaces for children to explore and learn.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will manage gardens, lawns and playgrounds, perform routine landscaping, and ensure safety and compliance. A hands-on role with opportunities to contribute to seasonal projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping or horticulture.
• Strong awareness of safety and risk management.
• Hold a valid Driver’s Licence.
• Willingness to obtain Working With Children Check (QLD/NSW).

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens, lawns, playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces across multiple centres.
• Perform general landscaping, mowing, pruning, mulching and weeding.
• Carry out minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment and fixtures.
• Ensure outdoor areas meet safety and compliance standards.
• Assist with seasonal garden planning and improvement projects.
• Liaise with Centre Leaders regarding outdoor needs.
• Manage tools, equipment and supplies responsibly.

About the Role

Reporting to our Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the presentation, safety and sustainability of our outdoor environments across multiple Harmony centres.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining gardens, lawns, playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces

About You

You are someone who:

• Has experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, horticulture or a similar role
• Takes pride in maintaining high presentation standards
• Is reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Holds a current Driver’s Licence
• Has a strong awareness of safety and risk management
• Enjoys working in environments that support children and families
• Holds or is willing to obtain a Working With Children Check in both QLD and NSW
• Formal qualifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not essential.
