Harmony Early Education on the Gold Coast maintains vibrant outdoor spaces for children across multiple centres. The Greenspace Officer role focuses on presenting safe, engaging and sustainable outdoor areas and involves hands-on landscaping, garden upkeep and liaison with centre leaders.

Candidates should have experience in landscaping or horticulture, pride in high presentation standards, and the ability to work independently with a current driver’s licence. WWC checks in QLD/NSW are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Maintain gardens, lawns, playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces across Harmony centres.
• General landscaping, mowing, pruning, mulching and weeding.
• Minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment and fixtures.
• Ensure outdoor areas meet safety and compliance standards.
• Coordinate seasonal garden planning and improvements.

About the Role

Reporting to our Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the presentation, safety and sustainability of our outdoor environments across multiple Harmony centres.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining gardens, lawns, playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces
• General landscaping, mowing, pruning, mulching and weeding
• Minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment and fixtures
• Ensuring all outdoor areas meet safety and compliance standards
• Supporting seasonal garden planning and improvement projects
• Liaising with Centre Leaders regarding outdoor needs
• Managing tools, equipment and supplies responsibly

About You

You are someone who:

• Has experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, horticulture or a similar role
• Takes pride in maintaining high presentation standards
• Is reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently
• Holds a current Driver's Licence
• Has a strong awareness of safety and risk management
• Enjoys working in environments that support children and families
• Holds or is willing to obtain a Working With Children Check in both QLD and NSW
• Formal qualifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not essential.
