Job summary

Harmony Early Education Pty Ltd is seeking a Greenspace Officer to maintain and enhance outdoor learning spaces across our Brisbane, Greater Brisbane, and Ipswich centres. You will oversee gardens, playgrounds, and outdoor areas to ensure safety, beauty and sustainability.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, independent work, and a focus on high presentation standards. A current Driver’s Licence and WWC checks are important, with a supportive team environment and opportunities to work across

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping or horticulture.
• Strong safety and risk awareness in outdoor spaces.
• Willingness to obtain/hold Working With Children Check (QLD and NSW) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens, lawns, playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces across Harmony centres.
• Perform general landscaping tasks: mowing, pruning, mulching and weeding.
• Carry out minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment and fixtures.
• Ensure outdoor areas meet safety and compliance standards.
• Assist with seasonal garden planning and improvement projects.
• Coordinate with Centre Leaders on outdoor needs and manage tools and supplies.

About the Role

Reporting to our Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the presentation, safety and sustainability of our outdoor environments across multiple Harmony centres.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining gardens, lawns, playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces
• General landscaping, mowing, pruning, mulching and weeding
• Minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment and fixtures
• Ensuring all outdoor areas meet safety and compliance standards
• Supporting seasonal garden planning and improvement projects
• Liaising with Centre Leaders regarding outdoor needs
• Managing tools, equipment and supplies responsibly

About You

You are someone who:

• Has experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, horticulture or a similar role
• Takes pride in maintaining high presentation standards
• Is reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently
• Holds a current Driver’s Licence
• Has a strong awareness of safety and risk management
• Enjoys working in environments that support children and families
• Holds or is willing to obtain a Working With Children Check in both QLD and NSW
• Formal qualifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not essential.
