Job summary

Programmed / PERSOLKELLY is seeking a hands-on Leading Hand for a grain storage site in Dimboola, Victoria. You will lead day-to-day grain receival, storage and outturn, supervise staff, train contractors and help maintain safety and quality at the site.

This role requires a current driver's licence, Confined Space and Level 2 First Aid, with flexible hours including nights or weekends as needed, and the ability to work at other sites. Front end loaders and conveyors experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising people and delivering practical on-the-job training.
• Hands-on approach with safety judgment and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Valid driver's licence, Confined Space cert and Level 2 First Aid.
• Willingness to work outdoors with flexible hours, nights/weekends when needed, and to assist at other sites.
• Experience in grain handling, bulk materials or operating equipment like front end loaders and conveyors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day grain receival, storage and outturn activities.
• Train and supervise staff and contractors in safe work practices and equipment operation.
• Help maintain grain quality, inventory controls and site safety standards.
• Support rostering, operational planning and equipment maintenance.
• Take responsibility for site operations when the Site Supervisor is away.
