Job summary

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Completion of Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program or equivalent accredited by a state authority (postgraduate entry).
• If you completed an Australian ITE program after 1 January 2024, you must show accreditation satisfying Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership standards.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs or courses of study.
• Teaching curriculum areas to a year level.
• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student progress in key learning areas.
• Implementing strategies to achieve targets in student learning outcomes.
• Maintaining class attendance records and student progress.
• Managing student behaviour in line with the school charter.
• Collaborating with a mentor on professional development and portfolio development.
• Supervising student activities and contributing to co-curricular programs.
