Job summary

Bacchus Marsh Primary School is seeking a Range 1 Classroom Teacher graduate to join a nurturing community in Victoria. You will plan and deliver literacy and numeracy programs, work under guidance, and develop teaching skills within a supportive mentoring framework.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and literacy/numeracy integration.
• Ability to respond to student learning needs with high-impact teaching.
• Capacity to monitor, assess and report student progress.
• Use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with students, families and the school community.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs or courses of study.
• Teaching an area of the curriculum or a general curriculum to a year level.
• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student progress in key learning areas.
• Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
• Maintaining records of class attendance and recording student progress.
• Implementing effective student management consistent with the school charter.
