Job summary

GHD Group in Brisbane is seeking a new Graduate Structural Engineer for 2027 intake. This role offers exposure to design and analysis of structural solutions across various sectors, working with senior engineers to develop practical and sustainable designs.

You will prepare calculations, reports, drawings and specifications, using leading software, while collaborating with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and project management colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) or Structural Engineering.
• Willingness to work on complex and impactful projects.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and analysis of structural solutions for a diverse range of projects across transport, industrial, water, energy, and resources sectors.
• Work alongside experienced structural engineers to develop innovative, practical, and sustainable designs.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other design documentation.
• Utilise industry-leading structural analysis and design software to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and project management professionals.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, and construction support activities to gain practical project experience.
• Support the delivery of projects through design coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop your understanding of Australian Standards, structural engineering principles, and industry best practices.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, digital engineering tools, and sustainable design approaches.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) or Structural Engineering
