Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer focusing on Bridges & Tunnels in Western Australia. You will deliver and verify bridge and structural designs, prepare reports, and coordinate with geotechnical and road-design teams. You will lead design elements from concept to IFC stages and mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and authorities, maintaining quality, and adapting to flexible work patterns including hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in bridge/heavy civil structural design.
• CPEng or near-chartered with Engineers Australia.
• Strong design quality and attention to detail.

• Prepare and review design reports, calculations, technical documentation, construction drawings and specifications.
• Lead design elements across concept, preliminary, detailed and IFC stages.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, drainage, road design and construction advisors.
• Mentor and support graduate and mid‑level engineers.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and approval authorities.

Qualifications

• Typically 8–12 years’ experience in bridge / heavy civil structural design.
• Sound knowledge of MRWA standards and submission processes.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SpaceGass, Strand7, LUSAS, Midas).
• CPEng or near‑chartered with Engineers Australia.
• Strong communication skills and attention to design quality.
