AECOM Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Technical Design Manager for bridges, structures and ports in Sydney. The role is full-time, on-site, within the DCS group, focusing on leading design packages and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs across complex infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will bring a Civil/Structural Engineering degree with 10–15+ years of experience, strong Australian standards knowledge, and a proven track record in design leadership and delivery through full

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years' experience delivering design on major infrastructure projects (bridges, ports/marine, heavy civil).
• Proven experience leading design packages through full lifecycle from concept to detailed design and delivery.
• Strong background coordinating structural, civil, geotechnical, marine, temporary works inputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of design packages across major infrastructure projects (bridges, ports, marine structures).
• Act as design lead for allocated packages ensuring scope, program and quality
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs to deliver integrated, construction-ready solutions
• Serve as key interface between design, construction and client teams
• Drive communication and collaboration across internal teams, JV partners and stakeholders
