Job summary

PTG Group's Projects & Designs Engineers in Southport is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer with 1-3 years' experience to join our team. You will work on residential, commercial and industrial projects under the guidance of senior engineers.

You’ll assist in developing detailed designs, perform structural analysis with Spacegass, Rapt, Ram and Inducta, visit sites, prepare construction documents, and coordinate with architects, contractors and clients to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in structural engineering with residential, commercial or industrial focus.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as Spacegass, Rapt, Ram, Inducta is advantageous.

About the Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our Southport team. As a graduate with Projects & Designs Engineers, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of experiences, technical leaders and pick-up essential tools and skills to help you advance to the next stage of your career.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in developing detailed structural designs for residential, commercial and industrial projects, including steel, concrete, and timber structures.

Conduct structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software.

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to ensure the designs are aligned with the project goals and requirements.

Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications for bidding and construction purposes.

Conduct site visits and perform structural assessments to evaluate the condition of existing structures.

Communicate and coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are of high quality.

About You:

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

1-3 years of experience Structural Engineering with a focus on residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Experience in industry-standard structural analysis and design software, such as, Spacegass, Rapt, Ram, Inducta would be advantageous

Be able to work autonomously at times, managing clients, stakeholders and projects but with the support of the wider team

Knowledge of quality, safety and environmental compliance requirements and a commitment to keeping safety at the core of everything you do

Personable with good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to travel to project sites and other offices as needed

Current Automatic Class C Drivers License.
