Job summary

UnitingCare Hospitals invites applications for a 24-month fixed-term Graduate Physiotherapist Program. The role includes four rotations of six months across Surgical, Medical, Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation.

Rotations occur at The Wesley Hospital (Brisbane), St Andrew’s War Memorial (Brisbane) and St Stephen’s (Hervey Bay) with accommodation provided for the regional site. The program is full-time with a 40-hour week and offers a supportive MDT environment, AHPRA registration required, and

Qualifications

• Australian Working Rights (We are unable to provide sponsorship)
• Recent graduate, having graduated within 12 months of commencement date
• Experience in health is desirable
• Excellent timekeeping is essential
• Willingness to undertake 1 rotation of 6 months at our regional St Stephen’s Hospital in Hervey Bay (Accommodation provided)
• Commitment to teamwork and high-level communication skills
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements

Responsibilities

• Work with patients to maximise their physical potential and restore movement and function.
• Provide treatment integral to recovery from surgery, illness and injury.
• Offer rotations across Acute hospital, Rehabilitation and Day Rehabilitation.
• Regional rotation to St Stephen’s Private Hospital in Hervey Bay with accommodation provided.

Your part in our UnitingCare Hospital’s team

Our team of allied health professionals assist patients through a variety of admitted programs and outpatient services to achieve the best possible outcomes in their rehabilitation and recovery. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers and Dietitians. We offer a wide variety of services including Women’s and Men’s Health, Outpatient, Rehabilitation and Persistent Pain.

Joining our Allied Health team as a Physiotherapist, you will work with patients to maximise their physical potential and restore movement and function, providing treatment integral to recovery from surgery, illness and injury.

With a focus on delivering high-quality, clinical care to patients within an acute setting, you’ll recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches to rehabilitation, bringing an open, collaborative approach to patient-centred care. Offering rotations in the Acute hospital, Rehabilitation and Day Rehabilitation. There will a regional rotation to St Stephen’s Private Hospital in Hervey Bay within your second-year rotations, with accommodation provided.
