Job summary

Early Start Australia in Launceston is inviting graduates to join a 12-month program designed to support transition from student to independent occupational therapist. The role provides structured induction, clinical supervision, and exposure across clinic, home, school and community settings.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, manage a varied caseload, and develop skills through weekly supervision, buddy support, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the relevant board.
• Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or equivalent.
• Current Driver’s Licence and vehicle.
• Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Registration (state specific).
• NDIS workers screening check & Police Check.
• Accredited first aid & CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and manage a varied caseload with a client-centred approach.
• Design, implement, monitor and adjust individualised therapy programs based on client goals.
• Deliver therapy services across clinic, home, school and community settings, including group programs and parent workshops.
• Collaborate with clients, families and other health professionals to achieve outcomes.
• Monitor progress, complete reviews and reports, and identify additional service opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment notes, and high-quality stakeholder communications.
