Job summary

Houlihan Lokey in Australia is seeking an Analyst for Corporate Finance to join the team for a January 2027 start. You will prepare and explain historical and projected financial information, build financial models, and coordinate due diligence for engagements with clients and potential buyers.

The role requires a strong academic record (75+ WAM or equivalent), at least 1 year of M&A experience, and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Strong academic track record with 75+ WAM (or equivalent Distinction average) from a highly regarded university, completing your degree in 2026 / early 2027 and available to commence full-time in early 2027 (preferably studying Accounting, Economics, Finance, Commerce, or a related quantitative discipline)
• Minimum 1 year of M&A experience
• Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
• Proficient skill in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong interpersonal skills
• An independent, solutions-focused mindset
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment
