Job summary

Houlihan Lokey is seeking a Graduate Financial Analyst for our Sydney office to support corporate finance and M&A advisory engagements across industries. You will work with experienced bankers on sell-side and buy-side assignments, developing financial models and materials.

The role requires top grades (75+ WAM), a degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance/Commerce, and availability to start full-time in early 2027. Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Strong academic track record with 75+ WAM (or equivalent Distinction average) from a highly regarded university.
Degree to be completed in 2026/early 2027 and able to commence full-time in early 2027 (preferably Accounting, Economics, Finance, Commerce, or related quantitative discipline)

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyse and help explain historical and projected financial information.
Create financial models.
Coordinate and perform business due diligence.
Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations.
Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers.
Value companies and businesses.
Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors.
Assist in planning of engagements.
