Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services is seeking a Finance Assistant in Sydney to support a broad range of day-to-day accounting tasks. This is an excellent entry-point for accounting or finance graduates, or candidates with junior accounts experience looking to advance.

You will work with the Finance & Accounting team on journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, month-end activities, budgeting support, and financial reporting, with emphasis on accuracy and bilingual Korean/English communication

Qualifications

  • Accounting/finance degree or diploma.
  • Recent graduates welcome to apply.
  • Experience in accounts, finance or admin is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Confident with numbers and financial data.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication in Korean and English.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support general accounting processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Process invoices, payments and employee expense claims.
  • Perform credit card and account reconciliations.
  • Support intercompany and internal recharge processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial and transactional records.
  • Assist with vendor setup and maintaining supplier and banking information.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities.
  • Assist with GST reconciliations and audit-related requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets and ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Provide general administrative and accounting support to the wider Finance team.

About the Opportunity

Working closely with the Finance & Accounting team, you will support a broad range of day-to-day accounting activities, including:

About You

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised and keen to build a career in finance.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline

  • Recent graduates are welcome to apply

  • Previous experience in accounts, finance or administration is advantageous but not essential

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Confidence working with numbers and financial data

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional-level Korean and English communication skills

  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn

Experience with an ERP or accounting system such as SAP is advantageous, but not essential.
