Job summary

RTX Australia is seeking graduates or early-career engineers to join a 2–3 year development program as System Safety Engineers. You will work within a small agile team on defence projects, applying safety processes to ensure complex systems are safe, reliable, and compliant.

The role offers hands-on learning from concept to delivery, exposure to Air, Sea and Land programs, and opportunities for industry training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support system safety analyses across the engineering lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Assist in applying system safety principles to complex defence programs.
• Learn the safety lifecycle through a 2–3 year development program.
