Job summary

Gordon Brothers Industries (GBI), part of the Johnson Controls family, is seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer to join the Brunswick-based team. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project teams to support the design, delivery, and optimisation of industrial refrigeration solutions for leading Australian businesses.

This graduate role offers hands-on exposure to refrigeration system design, project management, site inspections, drafting with AutoCAD, and cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
• Experience with refrigeration, energy, or manufacturing industries a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering calculations and refrigeration system design.
• Support estimates, tenders, and project proposals.
• Evaluate existing refrigeration systems and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in project management activities including procurement and scheduling.
• Assist with cost control and project delivery.
• Contribute to safety planning and compliance.
