Job summary

Blacktown City Council invites graduates to start as a Graduate Engineer from mid-February 2027, gaining hands-on experience through structured rotations across engineering functions to see how infrastructure is planned, delivered and maintained for one of Australia’s fastest-growing communities.

You will complete site inspections, assist with investigations, analyse data, prepare reports, review plans and support capital works, working with engineers, contractors and internal stakeholders to

Qualifications

Recent engineering graduate or within 2 years of completion.
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Rotations across engineering functions to understand infrastructure planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

Undertake site inspections and assist with engineering investigations.
Collect information on Council assets and infrastructure.
Analyze technical data and prepare reports and documentation.
Review plans and specifications and support capital works and maintenance projects.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver improvements.
