Job summary

Blacktown City Council offers a Graduate Engineer program starting mid-February 2027 with structured rotations across engineering functions to expose you to planning, delivery and maintenance of infrastructure in one of Australia’s fastest-growing communities.

You will inspect sites, analyse data, prepare reports and documentation, review plans, and support capital works and maintenance projects while collaborating with engineers, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver infrastructure

Qualifications

Completed a relevant engineering degree by commencement date or within the last 2 years.
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Interested in understanding how things work and solving practical problems.

Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections and assist with engineering investigations.
Collect information on Council assets and infrastructure and analyse technical data.
Prepare reports and documentation, review plans and specifications.
Support the delivery of capital works and maintenance projects.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to deliver infrastructure improvements.
