Job summary

SMEC, part of Surbana Jurong, seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Rail & Metro team in North Sydney. The two-year GDP program blends hands-on project work with mentoring and formal learning, exposing you to major rail infrastructure projects and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will contribute to design, analysis and documentation while learning from experienced engineers and gaining site exposure, with a clear path toward advanced technical skills within the SJ Group.

Qualifications

• Recent Electrical Engineering graduate entering GDP program.
• Exposure to design tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Mentoring and structured development through workshops and on-the-job learning.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of real infrastructure projects from day one.
• Assist with design development, drawings, models and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses under guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to understand on-site implementation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project milestones.
