Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD in Brisbane is seeking a motivated Graduate Drill and Blast Engineer to start a long-term career in mining. Based at the Brisbane Support Office with regular site travel, you will gain hands-on exposure under experienced engineers and supervisors.

You will assist in design and planning, learn blast design software, support safety and compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement through data analysis and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline, completed or near completion.
• Exposure to open-cut mining and cadetship or vacation work preferred.
• Right to work in Australia and based in Queensland; compliance readiness (Standard 11).
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks including medical, drug and alcohol, and background

Responsibilities

• Assist design and review of drill patterns and blast layouts to meet targets.
• Support day-to-day drill and blast planning and flag production constraints.
• Participate in explosive management processes and safety inspections.
• Contribute to safety observations and critical control audits under supervision.
• Collect and analyse blast performance data to support improvement.
• Collaborate with Drill and Blast, Operations, Site and Maintenance teams.
