Job summary

Brisbane City Council invites graduates to join a 12-month graduate program across its Built Environment and Planning divisions. You’ll contribute to civil engineering projects, participate in rotational placements and receive extensive development opportunities aimed at launching a meaningful career in local government.

The program includes a comprehensive training plan, exposure to City Plan and Building Act investigations, and a pathway to future opportunities within Council.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years OR be completing a degree/postgraduate degree that will confer prior to program commencement.

Responsibilities

• Join high-performing teams across Council divisions to support civil engineering projects.
• Engage in rotational placements with exposure to planning, building acts and inspections.
• Participate in a structured development program including group and one-on-one initiatives.
