Job summary

Waverley Council is seeking a Cadet/Graduate Engineer to join the Civil Design team, Major Projects. You will gain hands-on experience delivering civil and infrastructure projects that make a real difference.

This permanent full-time role (35 hours/week) is based at Bondi Junction, with opportunities for professional development and career progression in a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or in the process of obtaining for Cadet/Graduate level.
• Demonstrated good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in design and construction of civil and drainage works; surveying experience (Total Station).
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Project with good communication.
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of Civil Design projects for Major Projects and Infrastructure services.
• Perform site inspections and assist in site surveys.
• Assist with preparation of design drawings, estimates, reports and calculations.
• Contribute to on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
• General project administration.
