Job summary

Warrnambool City Council is seeking an Engineering Design professional to contribute to planning and design of civil infrastructure, reporting to the Coordinator Engineering Design.

You will prepare civil engineering designs, develop specifications and cost estimates, assist with surveys, and support project delivery from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, design, drafting, surveying or project delivery.
• Qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of road, drainage and pavement design principles.
• Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Preparing civil engineering designs and technical documentation.
• Developing specifications, cost estimates.
• Assist with feature survey.
• Preparing reports, project plans and project schedules.
• Providing technical advice and support across Council.
• Liaising with contractors, consultants, service authorities and community members.
• Supporting the successful delivery of projects within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards
