The Shire of East Pilbara invites applications for a Grader & Plant Operator based in Marble Bar. The role operates on a 14/7 roster (14 days on, 7 off) with 76 hours per fortnight and supports our remote communities.

You will operate heavy plant (grader), perform routine maintenance, and work in a small team with safety as a priority in isolated conditions. WA C and MR or HR licences are required.

Qualifikationen

• Working knowledge of operation of heavy plant and equipment, particularly graders.
• Knowledge and appreciation of Work Health & Safety in isolated outdoor environments.
• Ability to use maintenance plant, tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in a small team environment with supervision in isolated conditions.
• Current WA C and MR or HR driver’s licence.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy plant equipment, primarily graders, in line with project needs.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on plant and equipment.
• Work as part of a small team in isolated conditions with safety as a priority.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support Shire operations in Marble Bar.

BASE SALARY UP TO $82,045 p.a.

Join the journey to creating the incredible as our Grader & Plant Operator - Marble Bar. The minimum working hours are 76 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday. For this position, you will be working on a 14/7 roster (14 days on and 7 days off) fortnight however, this may change as and when required for the Shire’s operational needs.

Do you have?

• Working knowledge of operation of heavy plant and equipment in particular graders applicable to the position.
• Knowledge and appreciation of the Work Health & Safety requirements and issues associated with working in an isolated outdoor environment.
• Ability to use a range of maintenance plant, tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in a small team environment with general supervision in isolated working conditions.
• Current WA ‘C’ and ‘MR’ or ‘HR’ driver’s license.

To be successful in this role, you will have basic knowledge of plants, trees and turf and knowledge of irrigation maintenance and construction. You will have basic time management and personal organisation skills. You will have demonstrated communication skills including the ability to interact with the general public and ability to work in a team environment.
