Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a Grade 3 Dietitian for its Residential Aged Care service. This permanent, part-time role (20 hours/week) focuses on high-quality nutrition care for residents, with senior clinical leadership and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess complex nutritional needs, develop care plans, contribute to service development and support staff with education on nutrition management. Applications close 24 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics recognised by Dietitians Australia.
• Advanced clinical skills relevant to aged care or complex health needs.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.

About the Role

You will provide high-quality, evidence-based dietetic services to residents across St Vincent's Residential Aged Care, supporting optimal nutrition, health and quality of life. You will work as a senior clinician within a multidisciplinary environment, providing specialist dietetic assessment and intervention while contributing to service development, clinical leadership and best-practice care.

• Provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, intervention and ongoing monitoring for residents with complex nutritional needs
• Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans in collaboration with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team
• Provide senior clinical expertise, consultation and support in relation to nutrition and dietetics within residential aged care
• Contribute to quality improvement, service development and evidence-based dietetic practice
• Provide education, support and guidance to staff, residents and families regarding nutrition and dietary management

Classifications for this position will range from Grade 3 Dietitian $104,135 - $118,981 per annum, pro rata for part time).

Your Contribution

• Bachelor or postgraduate qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics recognised by Dietitians Australia
• Demonstrated experience as a Dietitian, with advanced clinical skills relevant to aged care, gerontology or complex health needs
• Strong communication, consultation and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and contribute to quality improvement and service development
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
