Job summary

Sheroz Earthworks is seeking an experienced GPS Machine Control Technician to join our growing civil team. You will install, calibrate, commission and support machine-control systems across a range of construction equipment, with a mix of workshop and field-based work.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, strong communication skills and the ability to travel to sites as needed. You will work with Trimble, Topcon or similar platforms and contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Experience with GPS/machine-control systems
• Strong mechanical, electrical and technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience installing and commissioning construction technology
• Ability to work independently and in the field
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Willingness to travel and work away from home
• Experience with Trimble/Topcon platforms is highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Complete GPS/machine-control system installations
• Machine measurements, calibration and commissioning
• Installation and setup of machine-control hardware and software
• On-site troubleshooting, repairs and breakdown support
• Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and communication faults
• Providing phone-based technical support to customers and machine operators
• Providing ongoing technical support and system assistance on-site
• Setting up and configuring machine-control systems
• Working with surveyors, operators, supervisors and project teams
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service
