Job summary

Hulk Earthworks Pty Ltd on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced excavator operator to join our family‑owned team. The role covers contract and commercial work, specialising in footings, slab prep and general earthworks.

You will operate 8t–35t machines, use Trimble Earthworks and GPS for precise grading, and collaborate with the team or work independently. A long‑term position with above‑award wages is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years excavator operating experience.
• Minimum 1 year GPS experience.
• Hold Excavator tickets RIIMPO318E or CPCCDO1011A.
• Holding White Card is required.
• Australian citizen.
• Experience with Trimble Earthworks is essential.
• Live on the Sunshine Coast or nearby.

Responsibilities

• Operate 8t–35t excavators on varied contracts.
• Perform footings, slab prep, and general earthworks.
• Execute trenching and drainage tasks when required.
• Set up jobs and work independently or in a team.

Job description

Based at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast but must be willing to travel SE Queensland.

Must be experienced in Trimble Earthworks as well as bulk & detailed excavations!

Minimum 5 years of excavator operating experience is required.

A minimum 1 year gps experience

You will be operating excavators from 8 t to 35t with jobs ranging from contract through to commercial & a mixture of tasks from footings, slab prep, general earthworks, trenching ect.

Drainage experience an advantage

You must:

Have proven experience in this size machine & tasks.

Must be competent & trusted in setting up jobs & working alone.

Have a reliable transport

Hold appropriate tickets ( Excavator & White Card )

Hold either RIIMPO318E or CPCCDO1011A excavator operator certification.

Possess either RIIMPO318E or CPCCDO1011A excavator operator certification as a mandatory requirement.
