Job summary

Sims Limited is looking for an Operator in Gosford to join our team and help keep the site running safely and efficiently while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will operate mobile equipment, assist with receival and dispatch, and maintain a clean, safe yard. This full-time role offers ongoing training, career development, and a supportive team culture in a leading Australian recycler.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar operating environment.
• Experience with mobile plant is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers and skip bins.
• Sort, grade and process ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Assist with receival, processing and dispatch of recyclable materials.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and operating procedures.
• Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Support general yard operations and site activities as required.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to drivers, suppliers and customers.
