Job summary

Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club on the Central Coast is seeking a Golf Operations Professional for part-time hours. You will support daily golf operations, tee sheet management, course use, retail activity and customer service for members, guests and corporate clients.

There are opportunities to deliver golf coaching and clinics for qualified candidates, with a focus on creating a premium guest experience and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Golf Management, Retail or PGA Membership.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence with retail transactions, cash handling and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Golf Operations: Daily operations, tee sheet management, course utilisation and marshalling, prize allocation and reporting.
• Retail Management: Process sales, stock control and merchandising administration.
• Bookings & Activities: Manage bookings for golf, lessons, clinics and Indoor Golf Studio.
• Golf Cart Operations and Outside Services: Prepare and present cart fleet and related outside services.
• Member Engagement: Deliver exceptional service to members, guests and visitors.

GOLF OPERATIONS PROFESSIONAL

Permanent Part Time | 30 hours per week (days/times negotiable)

*Remuneration package to be discussed at interview with potential for revenue sharing arrangements if applicable. Package also includes Staff Membership at Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club including access to the course, practice facilities and Indoor Golf Studio. Package also includes membership to Club Magenta with access to heated pool, gym and sauna/steam room facilities.

About the Role

Working as part of our Golf Operations Team and reporting to our Head Golf Professional, you will help deliver exceptional service to members, guests and corporate clients, across all aspects of golf operations, competitions, retail, bookings and events.

For candidates with the appropriate qualifications, there will also be opportunities to deliver golf coaching, clinics and lessons as part of the role.

Responsibilities include:

• Golf Operations: Daily operations, tee sheet management, course utilization and marshalling, prize allocation and reporting
• Retail Management: Process sales, maintain product knowledge, stock control and merchandising and administration
• Bookings & Activities: manage bookings for golf, lessons, clinics, Indoor Golf Studio and related activities
• Golf Cart Operations and Outside Services: Preparation and presentation of golf cart fleet, food & beverage cart and related outside services.
• Member Engagement: Deliver exceptional service to members, guests and visitors.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Qualifications in Golf Management, Retail or equivalent qualification OR PGA of Australia Membership, or a PGA Associate actively working towards membership;
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a genuine commitment to service excellence
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence with retail transactions, cash handling and administrative responsibilities.
• A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team,
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, hands-on environment.
• A passion for golf!

Highly Desirable Criteria

Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

• MiClub and MiMembership software – golf operations and tee sheet management
• SENPOS – point of sale systems and retail transactions
• Range Manager & Visage Software
