Golf Operations Manager – Coral Cove Golf Club

Coral Cove Golf Club is an 18 hole Championship Golf Course situated on the coastline of Coral Cove, Bundaberg Qld. We are currently seeking a passionate, personable and experienced professional to become a highly visible and welcoming face of the Golf Club and to lead and develop our Golf Operations.

This is a pivotal role focused on delivering an excellent experience for members, green fee players and visitors, strengthening customer relationships, and continuing to elevate Coral Cove Golf Club as the premier golfing destination for the local community and visitors to the region. The priority is to identify the right person for the role to lead the golf operations as part of the Coral Cove Ocean Club with attached bar and restaurant. As the development grows and over 3000 new residents move in this is an opportunity to get in and cement a long term position for a rapidly growing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the welcoming, visible and professional front-of-house presence for members, green fee players and visitors
• Oversee all aspects of Golf Operations to deliver consistently high standards of customer service and relationship management
• Manage Golf Retail Operations, merchandising and inventory
• Drive green fee and social play, membership engagement and growth as well as sponsorship and corporate golf opportunities
• Coordinate, promote and deliver member-related golf events, club-hosted golf events and expanded golf options for juniors, womens and social groups
• Lead, grow, develop and support the Pro Shop team including setting and delivering high standards of presentation, professionalism and responsiveness across Golf Operations
• Identify opportunities to increase participation, revenue and engagement across all areas of golf
  Collaborate with the Senior Development Manager to drive engagement and maximise the operational and financial performance in conjunction with the existing and future hospitality components of the Coral Cove Ocean Club

About you

• Proven experience in a golf professional, golf operations or golf management environment
• Excellent people skills and a professional, approachable and positive manner
• A strong customer service focus recognizing the many users of the space (members, green fee players, corporate partners, social visitors, non-golfers, bar/restaurant patrons)
• The ability to build positive relationships and enhance the overall Club experience
• In-depth knowledge of the Rules of Golf
• Strong understanding of club and golf management environments
• Proven experience in team leadership and staff development
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think beyond Golf Operations and contribute to the broader Club precinct thinking
• Ability to develop a deep understanding of the strategic priorities and purpose, proactively translating strategy into meaningful actions and outcomes throughout Golf Operations and the Club environment
• PGA qualification beneficial but not required

Coral Cove Golf Club is a private golf club and features the iconic par 3 2nd that plays over the ocean and Australia’s only par 6 hole. It is a key part of the Coral Cove Ocean Estate, a brand new 1500 lot masterplanned residential development delivered by Devcore Property Group. In addition to the new residential development the masterplan features a new village centre, open space parks, connected walkways and a new Tourism precinct with hotel, short term accommodation and a future brand new clubhouse and tavern. The development will also deliver 4 brand new holes to be constructed within the adjacent quarry and other redeveloped holes to fit in with the masterplan.
