Job summary

Q-CTRL seeks a Global Tax Manager to own the group’s worldwide tax function from its Sydney base. This hands-on, high-impact role partners with Finance and external advisers to navigate multi‑jurisdictional tax matters and build scalable, audit-ready tax frameworks for growth.

You will manage tax compliance, accounting for income tax and VAT/GST, monitor regulatory changes, and lead software implementations to streamline global tax processes, supporting our international expansion and scale-up

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior or tax specialist role with equivalent responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on cross-border tax experience across corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
• Proven ability to prepare and review tax provisions and deferred tax balances.
• Experience with Transfer Pricing frameworks and intercompany pricing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external tax advisors across Australia, United States, United Kingdom and Germany; expand to new jurisdictions.
• Prepare and lodge income tax returns, FBT, BAS, GST/VAT, Sales and Use tax, and other indirect taxes.
• Oversee tax provisions, DTA/DTL roll-forwards and forecasting for statutory accounts.
• Lead the implementation of tax software and coordinate transfer pricing studies and audits.
