Job summary

Intuitive Recruitment Pty is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for Australia, focusing on tax compliance, advisory and reporting within a banking/financial services environment. You will own a broad range of Australian tax matters and collaborate with Finance, Operations and senior stakeholders across the business.

Reporting to the CFO, the role involves mentoring staff, managing audits, and coordinating with Group Tax on compliance and advisory needs across projects and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in corporate tax compliance.
• CA/CPA qualifications.
• Experience in international taxation matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax advice to the ANZ business on projects in foreign countries.
• Review local tax law to manage corporate permanent establishment issues and entity choices in foreign jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Group Tax to meet compliance needs.
• Coordinate with local in-country advisors on taxes for taxable projects abroad.
• Maintain Tax, Compliance & Statutory returns calendar for the Australian business.
• Advise on starts-ups and close-outs regarding tax and registration requirements.
• Manage tax audits for the ANZ business.
• Escalate/review reporting, valuation and pricing issues.
• Apply cross-border transfer pricing concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and implement all tax processes with CFO oversight.
