Job summary

ResMed is seeking a Systems Engineer in Sydney to support the global expansion of a sleep therapy laboratory system. You will translate clinical, regulatory and user needs into system requirements and collaborate with software, hardware, and regulatory teams.

You will drive requirements, verification, risk management and design documentation to ensure compliance for international releases across regions. This role emphasizes systems thinking and independent, collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in systems engineering or product development.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and systems thinking.
• Experience with technical requirements, system interfaces, design documentation or verification activities.
• Clear written and verbal communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate needs into system requirements and technical solutions for global deployment.
• Develop, maintain and manage system requirements and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with software, electronics, mechanical, verification, clinical and regulatory teams.
• Assess regional requirements to support international releases.
• Evaluate system architecture and design options for performance and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve system-level technical issues across engineering disciplines.
• Support system verification and validation activities and risk management tasks.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and design evidence documentation.
• Follow Systems Engineering processes and contribute to process improvements.
