Job summary

ResMed in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Devices Systems team and help globalise a new laboratory system for sleep apnoea titration. You will translate user, clinical and regulatory needs into robust system requirements and support the product through design changes, verification and regulatory activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in systems engineering or product development.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, systems thinking and structured problem-solving.
• Experience with technical requirements, system interfaces, design documentation or verification activities.
• Clear written and verbal communication, collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Independent worker with initiative and interest in medical device regulations.

Responsibilities

• Translate needs into system requirements and technical solutions for global deployment.
• Develop and manage system requirements and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, electronics, mechanical, verification, clinical and regulatory teams on product changes.
• Assess regional requirements and product adaptations for international releases.
• Evaluate system architecture and interfaces for reliability and performance.
• Investigate and resolve system-level technical issues across disciplines.
• Support system verification and validation activities, including test planning and results analysis.
• Contribute to risk management activities and design reviews.
• Produce design evidence for regulatory submissions and international releases.
• Follow Systems Engineering processes and pursue continuous improvement.
