AlayaCare is hiring a Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end Australian payroll and grow into a global payroll function. You’ll work two Australian entities, with exposure to Canada and beyond as part of our finance team.

This role offers hands-on experience, modern tools like ADP and NetSuite, and a pathway to build broader payroll knowledge. You’ll join a supportive finance team in a fast-growing SaaS scaleup, with hybrid work (2 days per week in Sydney office) and a clear progression path in

Qualifications

• Hands-on Australian payroll experience end-to-end (STP, PAYG, super) essential.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and curiosity about AI tools.
• Willingness to grow payroll knowledge across jurisdictions as our global footprint expands.

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly Australian payroll end-to-end for two entities.
• Handle PAYG, superannuation, STP and workers' compensation requirements.
• Manage two ADP instances and reconcile payroll data and journals.
• Run manual validation checks and support month-end and audits.
• Partner with People & Culture and Finance; respond to payroll queries with service mindset.
• Build exposure to payroll in Canada and other jurisdictions over time.
