Job summary

Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, seeks a Payroll Specialist to run Australian payroll end to end and assist with APAC in-country payrolls. You will manage inputs, validations, and statutory reporting, plus coordinate with EOR partners for multiple countries.

You will bring 3+ years of Australian payroll experience, strong compliance mindset, and fluency in English. The role supportsWorkday payroll configurations and benefits administration in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience including Australian payroll end to end.
• Strong knowledge of PAYG withholding, Superannuation, payroll tax, long service leave and year-end reporting.
• Familiar with Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards obligations.
• Experience managing payroll through third-party providers and coordinating multi-country cycles.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, reporting, controls and documentation.
• Experience supporting employee lifecycle payroll processes and inquiries.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payroll for Australia-based employees, and extend to other APAC in-country payrolls as needed.
• Manage payroll inputs, validations, including variable pay, allowances, leave loading, absences, and retroactive adjustments.
• Handle statutory payroll reporting and remittances per Australian requirements, including PAYG and superannuation.
• Coordinate Payroll cycles with Employer of Record partners across multiple countries.
• Reconcile payroll and benefits data and support month-end activities.
• Support employee lifecycle payroll processes including hires, changes, leaves, resignations, terminations.
• Maintain Workday payroll configurations and assist with benefits administration.
• Respond to payroll inquiries, maintain documentation, and support audits and continuous improvement.
• Provide cross-training coverage for other regional payrolls as needed.
