Sandfire Resources seeks an experienced Project Database Administrator with a strong geology background to manage global geological databases and automation workflows. You will architect data ingestion, maintain software ecosystems, and mentor regional teams within the Innovation & Technology framework.

Qualificações

• Tertiary qualification in Geology and/or Computer science.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
• High level computing skills with some knowledge of coding (e.g. VBA, Python).
• Geobank and Datashed experience.
• Competent in writing advanced SQL queries.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with Geobank, Datashed, OCRIS, Geobank for Field Teams.
• SQL Reporting Services and/or PowerBI.

Responsabilidades

• Act as technical custodian for geological databases globally, including the Exploration drillhole database, and design assay export/load logic for modelling software.
• Design and implement automated data ingestion and end-to-end data pipelines (Python-based).
• Optimise queries, views, and processes for scale; prepare spatial data pipelines for GIS use.
• Establish secure data sharing frameworks across mining and exploration teams and data governance.
• Maintain and integrate software configurations (Geobank, Datashed, Datashed, OCRIS, IMAGO, SQL Server) to support operations.
• Mentor and uplift global Database Administrators and Geologists across sites and regional offices.
