Job summary

Nearmap, an Australian global technology company, is seeking a capable Senior Accounting Manager to join our team in a role that blends traditional finance with ERP transformation.

You will support day-to-day accounting, assist with month-end close, and help implement and optimise our ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O) across Finance, IT and Operations with external partners. Strong accounting fundamentals and systems mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting qualifications or significant accounting experience.
• Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Pronto, TechnologyOne or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial accounting and finance operations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and financial reports.
• Assist with general ledger, journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting activities.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as required.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support the implementation, configuration and optimisation of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate finance requirements into system solutions and participate in UAT.
