Job summary

Nearmap, an Australian global technology company, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to own financial accounting for global divisions and drive compliance. You’ll partner with Global Business Partners to ensure accurate financial data, interpret standards, and mentor junior staff.

You’ll manage month-end close, reconciliations, asset registers, and IFRS 16 leases while delivering insightful variance analyses and supporting budgeting and forecasting workflows.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification or close to completion.
• 5+ years in an accounting role, including mentoring.
• Strong technical accounting skills including IFRS 16, multi-currency, intercompany.
• Experience with Netsuite and Concur preferred.
• Excellent communication and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close for global divisions with strict timetable.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations in FloQast and resolve items.
• Maintain Consolidated Fixed Asset Register including depreciation and disposals.
• Provide variance analysis on P&L and support monthly sign-off.
• Review global vendor invoices, POs, statements and expenses for accuracy.
• Review lease agreements and IFRS 16 compliance; reconcile intercompanys.
• Lodge BAS, FBT, PAYG and payroll tax returns on time.
• Contribute to annual financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead finance systems projects and drive process improvements.
• Mentor junior team members.
