Job summary

The BUSY Group on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to guide leaders through complex employment matters, ensuring compliant and commercially sound people practices across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will develop ER frameworks, coach leaders, lead investigations, and contribute to strategy while balancing risk, performance and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in Employee Relations or HR advisory.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.
• Proven experience managing investigations and termination processes.
• Ability to interpret legislation and provide risk-based advice.
• Experience coaching and influencing leaders at all levels.
• Not-for-profit, community services, education or multi-site environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert employee relations advice to leaders across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead workplace investigations, misconduct matters, disciplinary processes and performance management cases.
• Interpret Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation to provide practical solutions.
• Support complex employment matters including redundancies, terminations and consultation processes.
• Coach leaders to confidently manage employee concerns and performance issues.
• Create Workcover responses for psychosocial claims.
• Monitor legislative changes and provide proactive recommendations to reduce risk.
• Develop and maintain ER policies, procedures, templates and guidance materials.
• Analyse ER trends and case data to inform organisational decisions.
• Support enterprise bargaining activities and employee consultation requirements.
• Contribute to key People & Culture projects and strategic initiatives
