Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for the design, planning, delivery and operation of AWS data center infrastructure.

You will develop pathway, space, and cabling designs and collaborate with engineers and suppliers to define product requirements and explore emerging technologies. Travel ~20% to AWS Data Centers.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centers, power and telecom infrastructure design and operation.
• Commissioning of ICT / telecommunications infrastructure.
• Hands-on ICT / structured cabling / physical-layer design in infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop ICT pathway, space and cabling designs with construction and permitting specs.
• Engage with suppliers/manufacturers to define product requirements and explore new technologies.
• Ensure timely delivery of scalable ICT plant designs and review submittals.
• Identify risks and respond rapidly to high-priority issues.
• Travel ~20% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel.
