Job summary

Breville, the global kitchen brand, is seeking a General Manager, Cooking to own end-to-end strategy for the Cooking portfolio. You will set direction, translate consumer insights into category roadmaps and investment priorities that drive sustainable growth.

You will lead cross-functional squads with Category Managers and Product Development Managers, partnering with Engineering, Design, Quality and regional teams to turn strategy into market-winning products.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years' experience across Product Management, Product Development or Business Management, ideally within a global consumer products environment.
• A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience developing and executing product or category strategies and roadmaps that deliver commercial growth.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with P&L management, business cases, investment prioritisation and ROI.
• Demonstrated success leading and influencing cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed organisation

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy. Own the commercial and consumer strategy for the Cooking portfolio, shaping category plans and product roadmaps.
• Build a winning product portfolio. Identify and prioritise opportunities that create meaningful consumer and commercial value.
• Own the commercial outcomes. Lead portfolio P&L thinking, business cases, investment prioritisation and ROI.
• Turn strategy into execution. Ensure the portfolio delivers high-quality products on time, on brief and within budget.
• Lead through the matrix. Create clarity across Category Managers, Product Development Managers and specialist teams.
• Shape future innovation. Identify knowledge gaps and commission consumer research and R&D.
• Build high-performing teams. Create an environment with clarity, pace, creativity and accountability.
• Influence across Breville. Represent the Cooking portfolio in enterprise planning and senior leadership forums
