Job summary

International Bank in Sydney is seeking a hands-on IT professional to look after its branch technology environment. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day IT support, on-site infrastructure, network security and cross-border reporting, working closely with Head Office.

The role requires IR and DR experience, asset management, and the ability to prepare internal IT requests per policy. You’ll collaborate with external consultants and support after hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience running periodic Incident Response (IR) and DR playbook tests
• A background in sourcing and procuring IT equipment, servers and end-user devices
• Experience tracking IT asset inventory and depreciation
• The ability to prepare internal IT requests and applications in line with branch and Head Office policies
• Experience engaging external consultants to assess IT frameworks against local regulatory requirements
• The ability to lead annual reviews and updates of branch IT policies and procedures
• The ability to write formal administrative reports in Traditional Chinese / Literary Chinese
• Bilingual communication skills (English and Chinese)
• Flexibility to support Head Office with testing, drills and maintenance outside business hours, including evenings and weekends when needed

Responsibilities

• Set up and support office PCs, resolve hardware, software and multi-function printer issues, and run, print and distribute batch and SWIFT reports
• Configure and maintain telephony and extensions, including call recording systems
• Set up and troubleshoot video conferencing across platforms such as Cisco, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
• Configure and review on-premises firewalls and network switches
• Administer system access controls and user permissions
• Maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) whitelists and monitor data flows
• Develop and review automation scripts in PowerShell, Python and Batch/CMD
• Work with third-party specialists on vulnerability scans and penetration tests, and remediate any findings
• Deploy hardware and apply manual system updates at both the main office and the off-site Disaster Recovery (DR) site
