Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an IT Security Architect to lead security architecture and risk evaluations for new technology solutions. You will develop security patterns and collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and development teams to promote secure, reusable services.

You will document security architectures, perform risk assessments, and guide stakeholders on risk mitigation while aligning with enterprise IT practices and major projects across the bank.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting on security solutions and communicating threats.
• Ability to document superior security architectures and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of networks, operating systems, firewalls, databases and IAM.
• Security patterns and guidelines development for reuse.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or SABSA or similar.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security architecture design development for key projects using architectural methods.
• Define solutions architectures, high level designs and impact assessments.
• Own Architecture deliverables and obtain stakeholder endorsement.
• Collaborate with analysts and experts to draft high level designs aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Maintain a central repository for models, standards and components.
• Scope initiatives with project managers according to architectural objectives.
• Contribute to improving IT department software development and architecture practices.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and promote enterprise security patterns.
