Argo Natural Resources’ Ironbark No.1 Mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to provide critical engineering support on underground coal operations. The role focuses on planning, risk management, monitoring, and reporting to improve on-site safety and performance.

You will lead geotechnical investigations, develop Strata Support plans, collaborate with geology and mining teams, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geotechnical or civil engineering.
• Experience in geotechnical engineering within Underground coal mining.
• Knowledge of risk management and compliance.

## Geotechnical EngineerApply: Ironbark No.1: Full time: Posted Today: End Date: November 10, 2026 (30 days left to apply): JR39Ironbark No 1 mine is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, approximately 30km north-east of Moranbah and 160km from Mackay and forms part of the broader Argo Complex. This integrated mining complex includes the Carborough Board & Pillar and Broadlea Open Cut Mines, as well as a centralised Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP), where collaboration between our sites and teams is key to delivering safe and efficient outcomes.**WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ABOUT**You will primarily focus on providing critical engineering support to the team and manage project initiatives to improve operations on site.
